1. Acceptance and operator
By accessing or using operome.dev (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. The Service is operated under the SynapseLayer name (“SynapseLayer”, “we”, “us”). If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it. Do not use the Service if you do not agree.
2. Experimental service
The Service contains research, preview and demonstration functionality. Features, datasets, legal corpora, model providers and outputs may be changed, suspended or removed without notice. We do not promise that the Service will be continuously available, error-free, complete, secure or suitable for any particular purpose.
3. No professional advice or certification
Outputs are informational and may be incomplete, inaccurate or outdated. They are not legal, regulatory, compliance, financial, technical or other professional advice; they are not a legal opinion, certification, conformity assessment, audit, approval or SynapseLayer attestation. You remain responsible for your decisions and for obtaining appropriately qualified advice.
4. Your inputs and submitted URLs
You confirm that you have the rights and authority needed to submit text, files, contact details and URLs. Submit only public webpages you are entitled to have retrieved. Do not submit confidential information, special-category data, credentials, personal data about another person, malicious content or material whose processing would breach law or third-party rights.
You retain your rights in your inputs. You permit us and our service providers to process them as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and improve the requested functionality, produce outputs and maintain evaluation records you ask us to register.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service unlawfully or to infringe another person’s rights;
- attempt to bypass access controls, probe private networks or retrieve non-public URLs;
- introduce malware or interfere with the Service or other users;
- misrepresent an output as a binding decision, certification or SynapseLayer approval; or
- use automated traffic at a volume that degrades or unreasonably burdens the Service.
5A. Demonstrator audit records
The Miami MVP records submitted addresses, committed project and financing inputs, selections, chat messages, workflow actions and demonstrator outputs together with server-received timestamps and the server-observed IP address. If you submit an email address, it is associated with that browser session and its earlier events. These records are used to operate, secure, evaluate and improve the demonstrator and to respond to a contact request. Do not enter confidential information or personal data about another person.
6. Intellectual property
SynapseLayer and its licensors retain all rights in the Service, software, presentation, branding and underlying materials, except for your inputs and third-party materials. Subject to these terms, you may use outputs generated for you for your internal evaluation and business purposes. Source citations and third-party materials remain subject to their own rights and conditions.
7. Third-party services
Some functions may retrieve public webpages or use third-party hosting, database, analytics or AI-model services. Their availability and behavior are outside our control. A reference or link does not mean we endorse or warrant the third party or its content.
8. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service and all outputs are provided “as is” and “as available”. We exclude all express, implied and statutory warranties, including accuracy, completeness, non-infringement, merchantability, fitness for purpose and that use will achieve a particular legal or commercial outcome.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SynapseLayer and its officers, employees, contractors and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, contracts, anticipated savings, goodwill, data or business interruption, arising from or connected with the Service or reliance on an output.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all other liability arising from or connected with the Service is excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation and any mandatory rights or liabilities that apply to you.
10. Suspension, changes and severability
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, legal, operational or misuse reasons. We may update these terms by posting a revised effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
11. Classifier-specific conditions
Use of the EU AI Act Classifier is also governed by the EU AI Act Classifier Conditions. If they conflict with these general terms in relation to the classifier, the classifier-specific conditions apply.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data, including submitted content, account and contact details, technical information, cookies, analytics and classifier audit records.
